At times Da Beat likes it moody. Still, photography is about contrasts, and Da Beat tends to think sometimes that the more types of contrast we manage to capture, the better a picture is. That’s plural: not merely more contrast in just a single constituent, just the light for example, but in as many aspects as possible, in color, in narrative, in clutter, etc…
The appeal in this picture seems to be in the contrast in light, but also the subtle contrast in color between the green of the chairs and the complementary orange specks, as well as contrast in narrative. Not an overly strong narrative, mind you, but still. It sort of shows an invitation to come on in and sit at the table to enjoy some food and wine in moody ambiance, and yet, the place is desolate…
